Terms of Use and Responsible Play

DRAFT, founder and legal to approve. This text is a placeholder for staging only. It is not legal advice. Do not use it on mainnet (M6) until the founder and a lawyer approve it (SPEC §16.1, OPEN 8). When it changes, bump TERMS_VERSION in constants.ts.

Terms version: 1 (draft)

1. Who may play

  • You must be 18 or older, or the legal age for gambling where you live if that is higher.
  • You must not play where online gambling is against the law for you. You are responsible for checking your local law.
  • You confirm both points when you accept these terms.

2. What the site is

  • Own The House (ownthehouse.fun) is a token launchpad. Each token can have casino games (Jackpot, Dice, Roulette, Plinko).
  • You bet a token and you win the same token. Wins are paid only from that token's Bankroll.
  • Tokens are highly volatile. Their price can go to zero. Nothing on the site is financial advice.

3. Custody and risk

  • When you deposit, your tokens go to a hot wallet (the House Vault) that the operator controls. Your Balance is a record on our server.
  • Deposit with the memo the site gives you. A deposit without the site memo is credited automatically only when it comes straight from your signed-in wallet after you accept the current terms. Any other deposit (an expired or reused memo, several transfers in one transaction, or a wallet that is not signed in) is not credited automatically. Contact support. We check it and credit it by hand.
  • A server break-in or an operator error can cause a loss of funds. The Proof Page shows each House Vault and its balance.
  • Large withdrawals wait for manual approval. Daily limits apply.

4. Fairness

  • Every Dice, Roulette and Plinko result comes from a server seed, your client seed and a nonce. You can check each bet on /fair after you rotate your seed.
  • Each Jackpot draw also uses a future Solana blockhash, so nobody knows the result when entries close.

5. Accounts and conduct

  • One wallet is one account. You sign in with your wallet.
  • We may block deposits and bets from a wallet that abuses the site. We do not take the funds of a blocked wallet; its withdrawals go to manual review.

6. Responsible play

  • Only bet what you can afford to lose.
  • Set a limit before you play, and stop when you reach it.
  • If gambling stops being fun, stop playing and ask for help from a local support service.

7. Changes

  • We may change these terms. When they change, the site asks you to accept the new version before your next deposit, bet, Jackpot entry or launch.
